Villa Borg, situated in the town of Perl in the Saarland, paints a vivid picture of life in the Saarland, Lorraine and Luxembourg region some 2,000 years ago.
The open-air museum makes it easy to imagine what it was like to be a privileged Roman. Inside the reconstructed manor house is an archaeological museum with numerous original finds and replicas. The entrance hall, the courtyards with farm buildings and the villa baths give a taste of the splendour of those ancient times. Archaeological excavations are ongoing at this 7.5-hectare site.
