Leipzig Exhibition Centre has long been synonymous with flexibility, continuous development and innovative ideas. Its success is attributable to the efforts of Leipziger Messe GmbH, its five subsidiaries and Congress Center Leipzig, which collectively offer a one-stop service for the organisation of modern events. Leipziger Messe GmbH was the first German trade fair organiser to be awarded the Green Globe, an internationally recognised certification for sustainability.
A multitude of trade fairs and events take place every year, among them international flagship exhibitions and trade conventions, guest exhibitions, consumer fairs, stage shows and corporate events. These include major industrial trade fairs in Germany such as Z and intec, as well as the leading international exhibition for orthopaedics and rehabilitation technology. The Leipzig Book Fair and 'Leipzig liest' festival, which transform the whole city into a live literary podium, attract thousands of book lovers every year. A highlight for the automotive industry is the AMI – Auto Mobil International – during which many cars make their global, European or German debuts. Visitors to the exhibition centre can't help but be impressed by the architecture, most notably the futuristic glass hall, and the many art works on display. It is also well worth exploring Leipzig city centre with its lovingly restored period houses, famous cultural attractions and vibrant entertainment scene. Leipzig is a trade fair city with flair.
