Take advantage of our guided public tour to explore Magdeburg by bus. The two-hour bus tour is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the many sights and attractions of the city, some of which are not included in the guided walking tour.

The Luther House was built as a monastery from 1504 onwards. Martin Luther lived here for more than 35 years, since his arrival in Wittenberg in September 1508. At first he lived here as a monk, then from 1525 onwards together with his family. In 1883 the house was opened as a museum. Today, it is the greatest museum for reformation history wordwide. The exhibition gives an impression of the life and the work of the Reformer, but also of the everyday life of his family. Around 1.000 exhibits can be seen, most of them originals. Exhibits of special significance are the pulpit, from which he preached, the Ten-Commandments-Table by Lucas Cranach and one of Luther’s monastic habits. The centerpiece of the tour through the house is the Luther Room, that has been kept in its original conditions.
