A one-of-a-kind underwater experience at AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin

SEA LIFE in the AquaDom, not far from Berlin Cathedral, has established itself as a firm favourite with fans of the deep blue and is a popular day out for families with children.

Have you always been intrigued by the mysterious world of fish and other sea creatures? AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin will take you on an adventure through the incredible underwater world, from the sources of the river Spree to the rough North Sea and from the depths of the Atlantic all the way to the tropics. The huge freshwater and seawater aquarium is home to around 4,000 creatures – with a fascinating biodiversity ranging from molluscs, colourful starfish, cute little seahorses and curious rays to different species of shark. Marvel at the staggering beauty of jellyfish in a breathtaking display of infinite colour, graceful movements and ghostly shapes and see these mysterious, magical creatures in a completely new light. At SEA LIFE you can also see tiny baby fish and other young marine animals in the breeding tanks. Do fish lay eggs? How do they sleep? How are sharks born? And where are the eyes on a jellyfish? Find out at AquaDom & SEA LIFE, where there is plenty for grown-ups and children to explore and discover.

Highlights

Germany's first aquarium mirror-maze is a perfect illusion for the senses. In a 100m² room, cleverly arranged mirrors create incredible optical effects. Neptune's mirror-maze turns your own reflection into a never-ending mirror image. You are surrounded on all sides by tropical fish, including Nemo the clownfish, creating an optical illusion that goes well beyond what you'd expect of an aquarium. An attraction to round off a fantastic day out here is the AquaDom: the biggest cylindrical aquarium of its kind in the world is 25 metres tall and twelve metres across, holds one million litres of water and is home to more than 1,500 exotic fish spanning nearly 100 species. And no visit to Berlin's SEA LIFE aquarium would be complete without a trip in the glass elevator up through the coral reef habitat with its schools of tropical fish.
