Easter fun on Pellworm island

The North Sea island of Pellworm has been transformed into Germany's very own 'Easter Island' for the Osterwiese festival, which ends on 13 April 2012. And the Easter bunny has hopped its way through the Wadden Sea mudflats to join in the fun! At the Kaydeich multi-sport arena, around 10,000 brightly coloured eggs have been hidden in the straw and are just waiting to be discovered during the great Easter Egg Hunt on 7 April.

The island's exciting Easter programme is packed with fun and entertainment for the whole family. Children's eyes will light up at the prospect of seeing the sheep and lambs, going on pony rides, doing Easter crafts and splashing around in the water, while the great Easter market features hand-made toys, pottery, textiles and much much more. The great Easter bonfire, a popular annual tradition, takes place on Easter Sunday.
