In 2012, Potsdam, the regional capital of Brandenburg, is celebrating the 300th anniversary of Frederick the Great's birth in style with a grand anniversary exhibition in Sanssouci Park and at the New Palace. Entitled Friederisiko, it offers twelve themed sections devoted to the life and times of the Prussian king. As well as exquisite interiors and remarkable artefacts, the exhibition offers new perspectives on Frederick as a person and on the era in which he reigned.
