The town of Horb am Neckar near Stuttgart is currently the venue for one of Europe's largest medieval spectacles, ending on 17 June 2012. Mercenaries vividly bring the history of Württemberg to life, while noble knights compete to win the favour of fair maidens in the arena. Fire-eaters, conjurers, stilt walkers and other artistes recreate the magic of times past against the historical backdrop of the old quarter.
