800 Jahre Thomana 2012: Leipzig veranstaltet Festjahr voller Höhepunkte.

Die THOMANA ist die älteste Kultureinrichtung Leipzigs. Das Fundament für diese Trias bilden Thomaskirche, Thomanerchor und Thomasschule, die 2012 ihr 800-jähriges Bestehen feiern. In diesem Jahr lädt Leipzig Gäste aus aller Welt mit einem umfangreichen Veranstaltungsprogramm zum Mitfeiern ein.

dOCUMENTA (13) – Kassel ist Kunstmetropole für 100 Tage

Die Kunstszene trifft sich alle fünf Jahre in Kassel, denn die documenta ist die weltweit bedeutendste Ausstellung zeitgenössischer Kunst. Vom 9. Juni bis 16. September 2012 wird die documenta zum 13. Mal zu sehen sein. Ein Höhepunkt für Kunstliebhaber und eine Kasseler Erfolgsgeschichte.

300. Geburtstag Friedrich der Große (1712 – 1786)

Friedrich II. machte Preußen zur Großmacht, verehrte Voltaire und liebte Musik. Die Ausstellung „Friederisiko“ (28. April bis 28. Oktober 2012) im neuen Palais in Potsdam gibt zum Jubiläum Einblick in das Leben des großen Monarchen. Der 300. Geburtstag wird auch außerhalb der Schlossmauern gefeiert.
