Wilhelm Busch born 180 years ago

Heinrich Christian Wilhelm Busch, born on 15 April 1832, was one of the most influential satirical poets and caricaturists that Germany has ever known. His most famous work is Max and Moritz – A Story of Seven Boyish Pranks, which was first published in April 1865. The Wilhelm Busch Mill in Ebergötzen near Göttingen, the setting for Max and Moritz's mischievous antics, has been a memorial, museum and farm garden since 1977.
