Television tower at Alexanderplatz square in Berlin

Berlin's 368-metre high television tower is the tallest building in Germany. At a height of more than 200 metres, its observation platforms offer a magnificent panoramic view of the city. The tower was opened in 1969, although apparently the architects were not invited to the ceremony. The reason was that those in power at the time were annoyed about the cross-shaped reflection on the outer panels – known as 'the Pope's revenge'.
