The Städel Museum in Frankfurt features works spanning more than 700 years of European art history. With thousands of paintings as well as a collection of around 100,000 drawings and exquisite prints, the gallery shines a light on art from the Middle Ages through to the Renaissance, baroque and Classical Modernist periods and up to the present day.
