The Middle Rhine wine region

The Middle Rhine wine region extends from Bingen to the outskirts of Bonn and covers an area of approximately 461 hectares. It is a particularly beautiful part of Germany. With its rugged cliff faces and narrow valley walls, the Rhine valley is renowned for its picturesque scenery, not least because of the pretty but labour-intensive vineyards, most of which are on steep hillsides. The region is also home to the legendary Loreley rock and a string of mighty forts and castle ruins.

There are countless walking and cycling trails for those who enjoy the great outdoors, and the vineyard restaurants offer a wonderful opportunity to sample regional specialities together with the local wines.
