Body Worlds of Animals

Until 15 March 2012, the Senckenberg Museum of Natural History in Frankfurt plays host to Gunther von Hagens' Body Worlds of Animals exhibition. Samba the elephant is the largest of the plastinated animals. She is joined by 20 full-body plastinations and more than 100 other exhibits, from individual preparations to plastinated cross-sections and organs, which illustrate the inner workings of an incredible range of animals.

If you would prefer to learn about the animal world from living specimens, however, you can of course visit one of Germany's many zoos and wildlife parks.
