Fine food and wine on the Moselle

Steep vineyard slopes and the twists and turns of the river are the hallmarks of the Moselle wine region – where wines were cultivated back in Roman times and where a love of life and a passion for food & drink still play an important role today. Traben-Trarbach, one of the largest wine trading centres in Europe at the turn of the 20th century, is a major winegrowing town on the Moselle and boasts a labyrinthine network of wine cellars. The art nouveau Romantik Hotel Bellevue in Traben-Trarbach is hosting a gourmet food and wine weekend from Friday 10 February to Sunday 12 February 2012.
