Recognition for Germany's top chefs

The 2012 'Hornstein Ranking' hotel and restaurant guide was launched at the Night of the Stars, hosted by the specialist hotel and catering publication Allgemeine Hotel- und Gastronomie-Zeitung (AHGZ). This listing of the 150 best restaurants in Germany is one of the most important barometers in the industry, as it is based on ratings by the five leading gourmet restaurant guides.

The guide named Germany's top chefs as Harald Wohlfahrt of the Schwarzwaldstube at Hotel Traube Tonbach, Helmut Thieltges of Waldhotel Sonnora in Dreis near Wittlich and Sven Elverfeld of Aqua at The Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg.
