This year's Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival is being held on the weekend of 25 and 26 February 2012 in the Ambassador Hotel & Spa in St. Peter-Ording. The hotel is one of 15 venues in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany, that are taking part in this series of culinary events.
Guest chef for the weekend is Wolfgang Becker from Trier, who holds two Michelin stars in recognition of his consistency in creating harmonious gastronomic experiences from seemingly contradictory elements. He is head chef at Becker's in Rhineland-Palatinate, which is not only a destination restaurant but also a fantastic hotel and wine bar. It even has its own private vineyard, one of many in the Moselle wine region.
