Colour in the Golden Age

The exhibition 'The Bloemaert effect. Colour and composition in the Golden Age' is devoted to the Dutch painter Abraham Bloemaert (1566-1651). His works are mainly characterised by Mannerism and Classicism and many are reminiscent of Italian artist Caravaggio. Bloemaert's paintings can be admired at the State Museum in Schwerin until 28 May 2012.
