31st Sylt run

The Sylt island run from Hörnum in the south to List on the northernmost part of Sylt is not only Germany's most northerly run, but also one of the most popular and usually among the first in Germany's running calendar. The event on 11 March 2012 attracts over 1,300 endurance athletes and large numbers of spectators to Germany's most northerly North Sea island in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Visitors to the island also have the opportunity to experience the coastal mudflats of the Wadden Sea, which has been awarded World Natural Heritage status by UNESCO.
