Wine meets... bread & cheese

From 9 to 11 March 2012, seasonal wine taverns in Rheinhessen are inviting visitors to sample specially selected Rheinhessen wines with bread and cheese, as part of the 'Wine meets...' events series. Germany is, of course, famous for its exceptionally diverse choice of breads and its high-quality wines from the thirteen wine regions. Cheese-making also has a long tradition in Germany. In the north, for example, the Schleswig-Holstein Cheese Route is devoted to this culinary speciality, but regional varieties have also become established in many other parts of the country.
