200 years of Krupp

The Ruhr Museum at the World Heritage Zollverein mine in Essen is currently showing a special exhibition entitled '200 years of Krupp'. The story of the Krupp company and family is legendary and is more widely known than that of any other German industrial dynasty. What began as a small family business grew to become a global concern thanks to groundbreaking developments such as seamless railway wheels and the invention of stainless steel. The exhibition, which runs until 4 November 2012, features around 1,500 exhibits as well as portraits and personal effects of the Krupp family.
