Earth Hour 2012

'One Hour for the Planet' is the theme for Earth Hour on 31 March 2012, an initiative of the nature conservation organisation WWF. Between 8.30pm and 9.30pm CET, lights will be going off in Germany and around the world in order to spread the message of environmental protection. More than 100 towns and cities will go dark for precisely one hour, as well as world-famous attractions such as Neuschwanstein Castle, Wartburg Castle in Eisenach, the Porta Nigra in Trier, Cologne Cathedral and even the skyscrapers of Frankfurt.
