'Women' exhibition in Munich

The works of Pablo Picasso, Max Beckmann and Willem de Kooning are united in one exhibition at the Pinakothek der Moderne. Featuring around 95 paintings, the exhibition entitled 'Women' is devoted to the artistic interpretation of women by the three artists and their portrayal of the female image in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibition, which is on until 15 July 2012, deals with the themes of emancipation and independence, and is the largest exhibition to date at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.
