50 years of Walsrode Bird Park

Walsrode Bird Park, one of the largest and most bio-diverse parks of its kind worldwide, is celebrating its 50th birthday every day during 2012. The 24-hectare park in Lower Saxony is home to around 4,200 birds of 675 different species from every continent and climate zone in the world. In addition to the park's spectacular shows, feeding demonstrations and other attractions, visitors will also discover a wide variety of plantlife, and birds as well, on Lüneburg Heath.
