Sekt, Germany's sparkling wine, is perfect for parties and for making toasts – and that's reason enough to celebrate the drink itself! The Bingen Sekt Festival in Rhineland-Palatinate sets the ball rolling from 10 to 12 May 2012 against the magnificent backdrop of Klopp Castle. Sparkling wines come under the spotlight again on 13 May, when sekt wineries of all sizes in the rest of the country celebrate German Sekt Day 2012.
