A grand boulevard is transformed into one of the largest open-air bookshops in Germany: from 14 to 17 June the 27th Bücherbummel (book stroll) on Düsseldorf's Königsallee or 'Kö' sees bookshops, publishers and cultural institutes invite passers-by to stop and browse. The associated programme of events includes the Düsseldorf literary festival, which continues until 24 June and offers a host of interesting activities related to the art of writing.
