Electrically powered bikes are becoming more and more popular because they take a lot of the effort out of cycling long distances and up steep hills. A route from Berlin to Copenhagen is now the first international long-distance cycling tour to reflect this trend. Over the course of 600 kilometres, there are 57 charging stations for topping up electric bike batteries. This route is also open to anyone wanting to try their hand at driving a segway – another new craze!
