Group Offers

Group travel & MICE
airberlin welcomes and encourages group travel throughout its extensive network. A dedicated and experienced team is available to handle group enquiries in an efficient and highly professional manner. The airline welcomes enquiries not only from the travel industry, but also from companies, as well as from consumers directly. airberlin provides group air travel to trade shows, major sports events or just for a visit to one of the interesting cities in Germany.
For groups of at least 10 people departing and arriving under the same flight number, a group offer is exactly the right choice. Groups benefit from additional flexibility with respect to name changes and no-cost cancellation opportunities.

Meeting & event solutions
For larger events with at least 50 participants, we offer individual arrival at discounted fares and flexibility adapted to individual needs. For larger groups, we are delighted to make an entire aircraft exclusively available. There is also the option to fly to destinations outside of the airberlin route network, thereby giving the event a special character.

Barrier-free Travel

airberlin provides a number of services for passengers with restricted mobility. For example, it offers a free assistance service, both at departure and destination airports. Passengers with disabilities or who have difficulty walking are provided with wheelchairs free of charge so that they can get to and from the plane. airberlin transports passengers’ own wheelchairs at no extra charge, and they do not count towards the luggage allowance. It also carries medical aids and equipment (e. g. ventilators, inhalers and mobility aids) and medication for free, provided passengers present an appropriate medical certificate.

FIT

airberlin provides FIT travel through a variety of channels including GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan), internet and the airline’s call centre.

Social Commitment / Green Travel

Eco-efficient flying
With an average age of only 5 years, the airberlin fleet is one of the youngest, quietest and most efficient in Europe. In 2011, airberlin used only 3.5 litres of fuel per 100 passenger kilometres, making it the most eco-efficient network carrier in Europe. The "Eco-efficient Flying" program includes numerous measures for advancing continuous improvement in environmental performance. For this program, in 2011 airberlin was the first airline ever to win the ÖkoGlobe award for sustainable mobility.

Price Conditions

YourFare
With the three-tier fare structure YourFare, airberlin has further improved their service especially for business travellers: the FlyFlex fare provides maximum flexibility and comfort. Passengers who have booked this fare can check-in up two suitcases and carry two items of hand baggage on board. Seat reservations and cancellations are included in the fare; in the case of rebooking, only the fare difference with regard to the current day’s price must be paid. airberlin passengers with a FlyFlex booking enjoy priority services such as Priority Fast Lane and will also receive a topbonus mileage credit of 150 percent. FlyClassic is the traditional airberlin product. On selected flights, JustFly appeals to more price-sensitive customers who require less additional services.

airberlin corporate rates
Optimal connections, flexibility and comprehensive service are always good for business. Through a corporate agreement, companies with regular business travel volume can obtain individual corporate rates on routes of the airberlin group. The fully flexible corporate rates provide high savings and can be rebooked and cancelled free of charge.

airberlin business points
Companies with lower air travel volume can also benefit from flights on routes of the airberlin group. With the free bonus program airberlin business points, for every employee business flight, small and medium-sized businesses collect valuable points that can be redeemed for award flights (up to 2 hours prior to departure).
