Until 20 May 2012, Dresden is hosting the 42nd International Dixieland Festival 'Riverboat Shuffle', which sees top acts from the old-time jazz scene making guest appearances in Saxony. Thirty-nine musicians are performing at the festival's 28 concerts. To introduce the genre to a wider audience, Dresden city centre will be turned into a 'jazz mile' on 19 May 2012 where all-comers can enjoy the fantastic music absolutely free.
