Save the date: Barrier-free Tourism Day 2019

The “Barrier-free Tourism Day” displays since 2012 each year the current developments in accessible travel and inclusion at the world’s leading travel trade show, the ITB Berlin. Speeches of representatives of the politics and experts of the travel industry followed by a panel discussion highlight the relevance of these topics for the travel industry and discuss the made progress.

Well-known guests such as Taleb Rifai, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antti Peltomäki, Deputy Director of the European Commission and experts of various companies such as Deutsche Bahn AG, Lufthansa and ADAC contributed to the success of the event and its informative value.

At the same time, the event, financed by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, promotes the exchange of experiences between experts, the international travel industry, representatives of the politics as well as the press and disabled people.

On the past „Barrier-free Tourism Day” the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) and its cooperation partner “Tourism for All Germany “ (NatKo) counted many international visitors, showing the big interest in the event and its relevant topics.

Save the Date: The next “Barrier-free Tourism Day” will be on Friday, 08 March 2019.
