GOP Variety Theatre Bad Oeynhausen: an all-round sensory experience

All of the GOP variety theatres in Germany are renowned for their style and class. But the GOP Kaiserpalais in Bad Oeynhausen, the prettiest spa town in the north of North Rhine-Westphalia, is one of a kind. To describe the location as gorgeous is almost an understatement. However the most important thing is and remains the theatre's programme of magical acts, juggling, acrobatics and comedy. Combined with the venue, this makes for a truly special theatre experience.

Bad Oeynhausen's formidable Kaiserpalais was originally built in 1908 and now serves as an amazing setting for excellent entertainment. The venue is actually a complex covering more than 400 square metres and containing the variety theatre, two restaurants, several function and meeting rooms and the Adiamo Dance Club, all under one 15-metre-high roof. The centrepiece, however, is undoubtedly the theatre's atmospheric, carefully restored and pleasantly air-conditioned auditorium, complete with the latest stage, lighting and sound technology. And just as the show programme (which changes every two months) offers a potpourri of modern variety acts, the wining and dining options at the Kaiserpalais cater for all tastes and requirements. With the perfect components in place for an exclusive events location, the Kaiserpalais is a brilliant setting for functions, receptions, conferences and corporate events. It can even host weddings, after gaining registry office status in 2007. And if you would like to watch the head chef at work in his kitchen, or even have a go at cooking yourself, then why not sign up to the cookery courses on offer?
