A horticultural gem steeped in East German history
The egapark in Erfurt is much more than one of Germany's prettiest parks. Established in 1961 for the first International Garden Exhibition on socialist soil, it remains an important emblem of the former East Germany.
Since reunification, egapark has established itself as one of the most attractive parks in Germany. It offers a riot of colour and flowering blooms covering 3.6 hectares.
