Giant's Trail

Giant's Trail (Hünenweg) – exploring the megalithic tombs in the Emsland and Osnabrücker Land regions

The Giant's Trail is ideal for visiting the famous megalithic tombs of the Emsland and Osnabrücker Land regions. At more than 4,000 years old, they are considered to be the oldest man-made structures in north-west Germany.

    Tip

    Hüven Mill, Sögel
The mill in Hüven is one of the best examples of this technology in the Emsland. It is one of the few combined windmills and watermills to have been preserved in Europe. A small visitor centre with an exhibition provides more information.
