Hans Christian Andersen exhibition

From 1 September 2013 to 12 January 2014 the Museum Kunst der Westküste will be hosting an exhibition entitled 'Hans Christian Andersen – Impromptu: Photographs, Silhouettes, Drawings'. Hans Christian Andersen is best known for writing fairytales, but his creative legacy also includes many drawings, no fewer than one thousand silhouettes, and photographic portraits too.

Located on the beautiful verdant island of Föhr in the North Sea, the Museum Kunst der Westküste – with its exhibition of the leading Scandinavian and German artists of the 19th and 20th century – is always well worth travelling for.
