Preserved in Trier Cathedral, the Holy Robe is a precious relic believed to be part of the tunic worn by Christ. It is on public display very rarely and only on the occasion of the Holy Robe pilgrimage, which last took place in 1996. The year 2012 marks 500 years since the Holy Robe was first shown during the Imperial Diet in Trier in 1512. The motto this year is 'And join together what is asunder'. All are welcome to join the pilgrimage, which takes place between 13 April and 13 May 2012.
