Between 23 and 26 August 2012 the focus is firmly on sport in the city of Münster in Westphalia during the 'Tournament of Champions'. At this traditional riding and show-jumping event, a highlight in the equestrian calendar, international stars will be vying for victory against the impressive backdrop of Münster Palace.

This coincides with the 42nd Montgolfiade balloon fiesta. As many as 55 hot-air balloons will be taking to the skies over the idyllic Münsterland countryside for the North Rhine-Westphalia championships.
