The 220km Heidschnuckenweg from Hamburg-Fischbek to Celle is now open to walkers. Named after the Heidschnucke sheep that graze in the local area, the trail provides a great way for the whole family to explore the natural beauty of the Lüneburg Heath and its wildlife park. The Heidschnuckenweg is the only trail north of the Harz mountains that has been certified by the German Ramblers' Association.
