Pomp, pageantry and politics – the House of Württemberg had close ties with the Romanov family of Russia. To commemorate this, the Württemberg State Museum in Stuttgart is hosting a major exhibition entitled 'Reflected Glory: the Romanovs, Württemberg and Europe' from 5 October 2013 to 23 March 2014. It tells the extraordinary story of the two dynasties through the marriages of five women – Russian women in Württemberg and Württemberg women at the court of the Tsar. The exhibition also sheds light on the impact of these marriages on the European political stage.
While in Stuttgart, museum fans might also like to visit the temporary exhibitions mounted at the Linden Museum and the Art Museum.
