Christmas market in Munich

Stroll around Munich's traditional Christmas market on Marienplatz square. For Nativity scenes, head to the Kripperlmarkt, one of the largest in the world. There is live music every day on the town hall balcony. A cultural guided tour can be an eye-opener, while the Krampus run brings Bavarian traditions to life. The Sternenplatzl market on Rindermarkt square is cosy and romantic, with starlights in the trees and stalls laden with delicious treats and high-quality handmade gifts. You can also visit the Christmas market held by artists and artisans in Schwabing, Munich's bohemian district that goes back over 1,200 years.
