Freizeit-Land Geiselwind is a fantastic amusement park offering fun and entertainment for families with children aged 4+. It is conveniently located on the A3 between Würzburg and Nuremberg and occupies a site of more than 400,000m².
At Freizeit-Land Geiselwind you'll discover more than a hundred attractions offering all-round family fun. The park has something for everyone: thrills and excitement on everything from rollercoasters to children's carousels, magic and suspense at the various shows, active learning on educational trails and at exhibitions, and all the wonders of nature at the zoo. The 90-metre Top of the World tower, the largest transportable observation tower in the world, is visible for miles around. You can also enjoy panoramic views on the T-Rex Tower ride – but be warned: it's not for the faint-hearted. The ride may take you up slowly, but you'll plummet from the top in free fall before going up and down again. Or why not brave the Boomerang, Germany's only loop-the-loop rollercoaster that goes forwards and backwards? The coaster hurtles along the track at speeds of around 75 km/h, before heading into 18 metres of loop-the-loops and emerging upside down. Whether on the log flume, the spinning coaster, the wings of Icarus or the flight simulator, adrenaline junkies will not be disappointed. The 4D motion cinema whisks you away on an adventure where you must defeat enemy robots. The illusion is created by movable platforms, 3D glasses and special effects.
Freizeit-Land Geiselwind also caters for younger daredevils: the Jumpin' Star, for example, goes up and down like Icarus and the T-Rex Tower but at a gentler, more child-friendly pace, and not quite so high! Other attractions for smaller children include carousels, power paddlers, a swan boat ride, the Dragon Express, Dinoland, T-Rex World, giant slides and, of course, play areas. Parents and children will encounter all manner of artisans practising their crafts around the park, including glassblowers, wood burners and portrait painters. Face painters can also transform your little ones into butterflies, lions or fairies. There's lots on offer at the back of the park too, where the extensive bird safari land and zoo are surrounded on all sides by forest and offer welcome shade in summer.
