In this Heidelberg museum you can discover the many sides of the extraordinary Carl Bosch, famous for the Haber-Bosch process for ammonia synthesis.
This process enabled the production of nitrogen fertiliser on an industrial scale and heralded a revolution for agriculture. The museum shows the public figure who was chairman of BASF and later the chemical company IG Farben as well as the private man renowned for his legendary butterfly and beetle collections, his passion for astronomy and his role as cofounder of Heidelberg Zoo.
