The Museum of Pre-History and Early History in Saarbrücken opens a window to the Saarland's distant past.
It presents archaeological discoveries from every era from the Stone Age to the early Middle Ages, from hand axes to Franconian gold jewellery. Central to the display are the original finds from the tomb of the Celtic Princess of Reinheim as well as Roman artefacts and wall paintings from the villa in Mechern.
Tuesday-Sunday 10am-7pm, Wednesday 10am-8pm
