Experiminta Frankfurt am Main

Welcome to a new breed of museum, a centre of knowledge and learning, where young visitors will really relish in the chance to interact with displays and experiment with exhibits.

One thing you won't find at the Experiminta Science Centre is a sign telling you not to touch the items on display. Because here visitors are positively encouraged to get involved! More than 130 experimentation stations invite curious minds to explore the fields of physics, mathematics, technology, optics and computer science and get to grips with scientific phenomena and principles. Everyone is welcome to try their hand at a bit of research – who will be able to lie down on the bed of a hundred nails or play a tune on the musical iron plates?

Science shows featuring impressive phenomena like fire tornadoes and ice-cold soap bubbles are staged several times a month. The aim of the experimentation stations, which are divided up into nine categories, is to encourage visitors to make connections and further their understanding. The causes and effects of actions and external influences are presented in an extremely effective way here.
