The Wadden Sea National Park and World Heritage site is at your fingertips at the Multimar Wattforum Centre.
Its 36 aquariums are home to 280 species of fish, crustaceans and molluscs. Twice a week a diver feeds the creatures in the main aquarium – a sight not to be missed. Another highlight is the whale exhibition featuring an 18-metre sperm whale that beached on the Wadden Sea mudflats. New to the museum is the skeleton of a minke whale, which illustrates the difference between toothed and baleen whales.
