Germany's oldest film museum is located in the magnificent Marstall building of the old city palace, which is currently being rebuilt.
The collections in Potsdam comprise over one million photos, exhibits from the technical side of film-making, costumes and items left by film stars in their wills. The museum opens in spring 2014 after renovation and fireproofing works. Among other features, the permanent exhibition entitled 'Dream Factory: 100 Years of Film at Babelsberg' will again be on display.
