Active holidays in the Saarland
Cycling tours in the Saarland are all about variety and the all-round cycling experience – from family-friendly routes along river valleys and cross-border tours into France and Luxembourg to challenging climbs in the Hunsrück hills. The Saar River Cycle Route is the first international long-distance route to be awarded four stars by the German Cyclists' Federation (ADFC).
Unspoilt nature and top-quality trails – the Saarland has an extensive network of around 50 premium walks. In the last five years alone, four of Saarland's premium trails have won the title of 'Germany's most scenic walk'. And in 2009, the 180km Saar-Hunsrück-Steig was voted the country's most beautiful long-distance trail. Why don't you discover the Saarland on these award-winning walks?
Golfers are spoilt for choice in the Saarland and just across the border. The scenic and immaculately tended courses have everything a keen player could wish for.
