125th anniversary of the motor car in Germany

German cars are internationally acclaimed for their top quality and innovation, but they also represent the heritage and ingenuity of the country where the first cars were developed exactly 125 years ago.

This anniversary is being marked by a multitude of events across Germany, most notably Automobile Summer 2011, a 125-day celebration in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
