500 years since the Reformation

Martti Luther 2017: 500 vuotta uskonpuhdistusta. Jälkien etsiminen

Yksi vuosikymmen puolelle vuosituhannelle: Lutherin vuosikymmenenä 2008 - 2017 muistellaan Wittenbergin teesien naulausta – näyttelyillä, juhlilla ja konserteilla kaikkialla Saksassa.

On kulunut 500 vuotta siitä, kun Martti Luther naulasi 95 teesiään Wittenbergin kirkon oveen. Tätä ei ole todistettu historiallisesti, mutta kuitenkin se on tapahtuma, joka muutti maailman – ja antaa aihetta suureen juhlavuoteen, jota vietetään vuonna 2017 Luther-kaupunkien Wittenbergin ja Eislebenin lisäksi juhlavasti monessa muussakin paikassa. Martti Luther, munkki, professori ja uskonpuhdistaja, on koko vuosikymmenen keskipisteenä: Saksa juhlii yhtä suurimmista pojistaan.
