On 5 and 6 May 2012, passionate runners have a great opportunity to put their fitness to the test in the city of Mainz. The route of the Mainz Marathon runs through the beautiful old quarter, past the thousand-year-old cathedral and across the bridge to the opposite side of the Rhine. Along the way there is a range of entertainment on offer for spectators as well.
