A dense and global route network, two highly efficient hubs and perfectly tailored services: this is how passengers arrive quickly, reliably and comfortably at their desired destination. Good reasons, therefore, why around 60 million passengers each year choose to fly with Lufthansa.
Lufthansa’s service worldwide includes more than 14,640 flights a week to 463 destinations in 114 countries (as of: 01/2014, includes codeshare connections with partners). At the same time the route network is being constantly expanded and continually adjusted to meet passengers’ requirements.
The Lufthansa hubs in Frankfurt and Munich belong to the most important and punctual hubs in the whole of Europe. Short distances to gates, outstanding services for passengers with connections as well as modern terminals with inviting lounges and shops make changing planes for passengers as easy and entertaining as possible.
The Lufthansa Group partners Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines und SWISS with their hubs in Brussels, Vienna and Zurich are the ideal addition to the Lufthansa route network, Germanwings serves more than 100 destinations from Germany. So passengers can select even more flight connections and at the same time, thanks to harmonised processes, experience seamless travel even when they have connecting flights.
A future-oriented basis for success: the Lufthansa Group’s progressive fleet, which is continually being modernised, includes around 600 aircraft of widely differing sizes. By 2025, 261 brand-new aircraft with more efficient fuel consumption and lower noise emissions will be brought into service. These will include ultramodern long-haul aircraft such as 34 Boeing 777-9Xs and 25 Airbus A350-900s.
