The Berlin Art Week takes place from September 11 till 16, 2012 for the first time. The new umbrella event is going to combine important art fairs and institutions by organizing fairs, special exhibitions and discussions. The following institutions take part: abc – art berlin contemporary and Preview – Art Fair as well as institutions dedicated to contemporary art such as the Verein der Freunde der Nationalgalerie, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlinische Galerie and Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst NGBK e.V.
